Remembering the Duck Commander
The Life of Phil Robertson
Philip "Phil" Robertson, the beloved patriarch of the Robertson family and star of A&E's Duck Dynasty, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023 at the age of 77, surrounded by family at his home in West Monroe, Louisiana.
While initial rumors circulated about the cause of death, the Robertson family confirmed Phil died of natural causes after a brief illness. "He went to be with the Lord doing what he loved - sitting on the porch, watching the sunset over the duck pond," said his son Willie Robertson in an official statement.
Phil's health had been declining in recent years, with the family sharing in 2021 that he was battling a respiratory condition. However, he remained active in duck call production and family gatherings until his final days.
